There is so much still to learn about humpback whales. Male humpbacks are the singers, and it's currently thought to be related to mating ritual and competition. This singer sang his enchanting songs for hours, occasionally rising up for a breath and descending deep below to continue his song. Swimming right above a singing whale is truly a marvel - you can feel the vibrations through your body.
